ANDREAS SERRANO

Andreas Serrano is a American photographer who has become well known for his images based on 

corpses as well as his use of feces and bodily fluids within his work, for example one set of his images called piss christ. What was a set of images where a crucifix was submerged in a glass containing his own urine as well as blood, which caused alot of anger within the community due to religious beliefs.

He tends to print his images in large scale of 20 by 30 inches.

Also his choice of camera is a large format camera .

I myself actually find is work very interesting. And for his portraits i love the use of the bright backgrounds that the models as sat in front of. 

I also think his images of piss Christ are extremely nice to look at with great use of color.  I really enjoyed using a medium camera to take images in the style of Serrnano due to loving the use of color.
